The Frankfort Independent Schools Education Foundation exists to supplement the programs, both academic and athletic, of the Frankfort Independent Schools in Frankfort, KY.
The Frankfort Independent Schools are located in the beautiful capital city of Kentucky. Since 1841, the FIS has educated thousands of students and her athletic teams have been counted among the state's best. The one drawback to being in the capital city is most properties are either city or state owned. This means that the district only has 25% of the property available for taxation purposes. The FISEF works to fill that void.
