Dedicated to a strong community in which all youth reach their full potential and transitionsuccessfully to adulthood.Dedicated to a strong community in which all youth reach their full potential and transitionsuccessfully to adulthood.The Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in December 2009 out of a need to provide after school programming for youth in Northern Kentucky. With the help of the founding board of directors and a local attorney, 501(c)3 tax exempt status was approved by the IRS in June of 2010 and programming started in August of that year. Over the course of the first year, the after school programming served over 80 students in Northern Kentucky with tutoring and mentoring.Over the summer of 2011, a community evaluation was done to determine current program offers and scope. It was determined that schools and other agencies were effectively putting emphasis on tutoring and mentoring and the Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation Board of Directors decided to transition its students into those existing programs and refocus to become an advocate for student success and a resource for the community.
