The Elizabeth Marino Ovarian Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was started by the Marino family in memory of Elizabeth Marino.

Elizabeth Marino was stricken with Ovarian Cancer in 2008. Not knowing what was wrong with her, she sought medical treatment and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Liz succumbed to Ovarian Cancer September 10, 2009. The warning signs for this deadly disease are so vague that they all too often go undiagnosed until it's too late to effectively treat.

Liz, a wife and mother of three children, was extremely active in her community, in her parish, and at her children's school. As well as being matriarch of her family, Liz loved entertaining, doing for others and was someone who was never without a smile. She is sorely missed by all who knew her.

Our organizational goal is to bring ovarian cancer awareness to women of all ages. We are determined to educate women about the signs and symptoms so ovarian cancer can be detected early. Along the way our organization donates to and supports women who are currently battling the disease. Like the Butterfly Effect, a small change today can bring significant change in the future. Awareness today,Hope for tomorrow.
