HistoryThe Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust was founded on January 10, 2002. The organization was formed to serve the needy, child abuse, underprivileged, domestic violence victims, veterans, underserved, child abuse, economically disadvantaged, racism and poverty-stricken families and individuals residing in distressed communities in southeastern Michigan.PurposeThe purpose of The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust is to serve the underprivileged, domestic violence victims, veterans, underserved, child abuse, economically disadvantaged, poverty-stricken and low-income families and individuals in metropolitan Detroit, Michigan and other Wayne counties with support, assistance and resources in which our programs, services and activities offers on a day to day basis.VisionsTo help eliminate hunger, poverty and homelessness in Michigan.To make available additional Human Services Programs to meet the needs of individuals suffering from hunger, poverty and homelessness in Michigan.To collaborate with other Human Service Agencies addressing the same needs and providing the same services.To make available support groups, financial training classes, job training and educational training programs to help individuals to become self-sufficiency.Program SummaryThe Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust Human Services program targets economically disadvantage families, individuals, seniors, homeless, physically challenging and other individuals who falls within the guidelines of living at or below the poverty-rate.The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust provides thousands of families and individuals with basic human needs such as food, clothing, shelter and referral to other agencies that will help them to become self-sufficiency.The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust Human Services program is a year round program in which we provide basic human needs for thousands of families and individuals requesting our assistance during these challenging times in Michigan.The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust Human Services program serve its community at 11101 Morang Drive, Detroit, MI  48224 from 8am  till 4pm, 52 consecutive weeks every year.The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust collaborates with other Human Services agencies addressing the same needs and provides the same services.   We recruit volunteers, host silent auction, implemented a car donation program and raise fund through the organization boutique to help implement our programs.The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust Human Service program is implemented because thousands of families and individuals seeks basic human needs on a daily basis, because thousands of individuals seeks food assistance, shelter, utilities assistance to help them to survive through these challenging times due to job loss, lack of educational training and the bad economy.
