Mission Statement:  Hesed House is a not-for-profit organization of ministries serving the very poor of the Fox Valley Area.  Its mission is to provide food for the hungry, clothes for the naked, shelter for the homeless and the chance for the less fortunate to hope again.

Hesed House, changing lives of the Fox Valley Area homelessness since 1983, is the largest shelter in Illinois (outside the City of Chicago in numbers served). On-site, direct service programs to transition individuals out of homelessness include the PADS® Overnight Emergency Shelter for 155-207 homeless men, women and children every night; Daytime Drop-In Center with self-improvement services for 100 additional people; job skills training; on-site Transitional Living Center that is home to 52 individuals – 50% of whom are almost always young children; permanent supporting housing for 40+ individuals; one-on-one case management; legal and medical clinic and private on-site children’s therapy.
