The Hinsdale Humane Society is a 58-year-old non-profit organizationdedicated to the care and adoption of unwanted and abandoned animalsand the offering of humane education programs to prevent suffering and neglect.Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are available for adoption at the shelter.The animals are cared for by full and part-time staff and the ongoing dedication of its' members and volunteers.Owner give-ups are the major source for our adoptable animals but unclaimed strays may be available for adoption as well. Animals are taken on an appointment basis and there is no time limit for an animal's stay at the shelter.The Hinsdale Humane Society maintains its operation through the fundraising efforts of its volunteers and members. As a non-profit organization it receives no public monies but depends entirely upon the generosity of a caring public. Those who share the goals and values of the Society are urged to help in whatever way they can.
