The IV 9/11 Stair Climb Committee will be hosting the first annual Public Safety Gala after almost 12 years of a hiatus of a Fireball or any event celebrating our local public safety sector. As many of our local firefighters and Border Patrol teams return from specially difficult and labor intensive strike teams around the state, we want to provide them with a night of celebration for their incredible work for the community, reflected in this years theme; “ Desert Knights”. An elegant evening dedicated to honoring Imperial Valley’s public safety heroes. They will be able to enjoy a gourmet dinner, lively dance, and an exciting silent auction, all designed to celebrate and support the vital contributions of our local personnel, as well as raise funds for the committee’s efforts to help firefighter and public safety personnel in time of economic crisis, provide scholarships for students seeking an education in the public safety sector, and finishing a permanent 9/11 memorial at the fairgrounds.
