Founded in 1983, Joseph Academy provides a nurturing and challenging environment for young people. Our programs serve students age 5 to 21, grades K through 12 from the Chicagoland area. They are both male and female with diverse ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. We are certified by the State of Illinois and by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. We currently have campuses in Des Plaines, Melrose Park, and Hometown.

Joseph Academy seeks to build student's self esteem through a therapeutic program in which staff members constantly express respect, encouragement, and guidance. Each student progresses through a multi-level motivational sequence, receiving affirmation for fulfilling academic and behavioral goals adapted from the Boys Town Behavioral Modification System.
