There is a real epidemic of depression, drug abuse, and mental illnesses that's infecting 15% of our kids (1-in-6).  The result is that suicide is now the #1 illness killing youth ages 14-24.

Our founder knows first hand having lost his only child Nathan to heroin induced suicide on July 3, 2011.

Scientific advancements make behavioral health the most treatable of all diseases, yet it goes undetected 80% of the time due to the social stigmas.  Life Guardians Alliance has been formed to raise awareness and funding for comprehensive student mental health programs offered by our growing list of Alliance Partners.

Most communities are looking for ways to better protect the mental and physical health of their children.  Life Guardians Alliance works with each to determine what they would implement if budgets were no issue. We then take a leadership role in raising the funding from the communities at large.  One major grant funded program served 6,000 students on seven JH and HS campuses in 2012. There were hundreds of personal interventions, including 86 (1.5%) admissions to their Behavioral Health Hospital for observation and treatment.  All 86 of those young lives were extended because of the trained eyes on campus.  We want to expand availability of such programs so more can be saved.
