The MBWF is a non-profit organization, founded by a grandson who has grown tired of watching family and lives being destroyed by this vice grip on the human body. Built on the hopes of ending Alzheimer’s disease through philanthropy, fundraising, awareness, and the exchange of wisdom and services, will you help us? Our slogan is “Together We Remember.”  Alzheimer's disease (AD), senile dementia of the Alzheimer type,  primary degenerative dementia of the Alzheimer's type, or simply Alzheimer's, is the most common form of dementia.  There is no cure at this point for Alzheimer’s; nevertheless we will work tirelessly, and with your help end Alzheimer’s altogether. While the foundation sponsors fundraisers at bars, restaurants, and private venues, our goal is to have three major fundraisers each year; an 18 hole golf outing hosted by Jackson Park golf course in Chicago, a 5K Run at Montrose Harbor, also in Chicago, and a benefit concert; with the inaugural show being hosted by Big Otis Blues Band and Beast Warrior. We work extremely closely with the Alzheimer’s Association, and feel this partnership is a recipe for success. We feel each of these events will generate enough capital to sustain us throughout the calendar year.  We plan on becoming a Gold Partner which entails a $10,000 donation to the Alzheimer’s Association. Gold Partners, Pre-Event will receive recognition in the walk brochure,  on the walk website, and  in the walk e-newsletter. On the day of the walk, Gold Partners will receive complimentary t-shirts, a company table, VIP parking, verbal recognition, and route signs.  We see this partnership spreading awareness for Alzheimer’s, as well as the MaeBell Ward Foundation.
