Founded in 1988, Our Towns Habitat is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an ecumenical Christian ministry.  We are one of over 1625 affiliates in the U.S., and we serve families in the towns of Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville, NC. We were chosen Affiliate of the Year in 2008 by Habitat for Humanity International!  Our Towns Habitat partners with hard working families in need of decent, affordable housing, and with local churches, businesses, service groups and individuals.Our homeowners build and purchase their houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgages while contributing hundreds of hours of sweat equity labor working on their house and the houses of others. Mortgage payments are placed in a revolving Fund for Humanity to finance the construction of even more houses.In July, 2010 in response to a growing need for repairs and weatherization on existing homes in the four towns, Our Towns Habitat for Humanity began a ReHabitat program.
