Taller de José (Joseph's Workshop) is a non-profit community resource center and sponsored ministry of the Congregation of St. Joseph. The agency, located in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, was founded in response to needs identified by the local community.

The community expressed a need for assistance accessing and navigating the complex systems of medical, legal and social services.  Thus, Taller de José was founded with a mission to walk with, or "accompany" clients as they seek these services and resources. Moreover, Taller de José seeks to help clients empower themselves, so that they are eventually confident and competent in seeking resources and overcoming obstacles to finding services on their own.

For eight years, Taller de José has served clients by providing nonjudgmental emotional and pastoral support, customized referrals and innovative offsite accompaniment services, via public transit. Taller de José fulfills its mission by, "connecting people to resources, and resources to people."
